Data Science Nigeria, in 2021, scaled up its impact in line with the vision of raising 1 million AI talents in 10 years. Adeyinka J. Oresanya,

Adeyinka J. Oresanya, now a Doctoral researcher, began her journey into AI through the AI Saturday classes in Ibadan. Not done with the introductory classes, she took part in the Data Science Nigeria AI Bootcamp which opened her to vast opportunities in Machine Learning. Raheem Nasirudeen

Raheem Nasirudeen won the best participant at the Data Science Nigeria AXAMansard Insurance Prediction Hackathon Hosted on zindi.africa platform. He presently works as a Data Scientist at Axa Mansard. Read his story here

Adeola Adesina

Adeola Adesina, A Pharmacy graduate from Olabisi Onabanjo University, attended the Data Science Nigeria 2019 Microsoft Deep Learning Bootcamp with Mr. Karim Beguir, CEO of Instadeep as a facilitator.

Adeola said he first learned the basic concepts of Machine Learning at that event. Adeola currently practices as a blockchain Developer.

Kolawole Somade

Kolawole Somade is a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from Bells University Ota. Kolawole, who now works as a Research and Product Analyst at MTN, notes that through the introductory experience to Data Science from Data Science Nigeria’s online community, he was able to apply and take part in the prestigious African Industrial Internet Programme organized by African Leadership University [ALU]. Elizabeth Oyindasola

Elizabeth Oyindasola is a digital skills trainer. She has trained with organizations like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, and the University of Jos skills center. Elizabeth heard about AI Invasion from a friend in Jos and planned to attend AI Invasion at DSN office 174b Murtala Mohammed Way Yaba. To her, the journey to becoming a data scientist has been mind-blowing.

Precious Kolawole

Precious Kolawole is a year student of Obafemi Awolowo University. Precious began her tech journey at age 17 in 2019. She was motivated to start after her brother Steven Kolawole, shared his story about how the Data Science Nigeria 2019 Bootcamp went. She decided to dive in. She joined the AI Campus Club OAU where she met with people of similar ideas. Through participation at DSN events, she gathered enough skill to become a Meetup Facilitator of Women In Data Science Ife, where we conducted and facilitated Python and Machine Learning classes of about 30 mentees.

During the Data Science Nigeria 2020 Bootcamp which started with 60 days of streams of Machine Learning and Deep Learning, she participated and won an award in the category of the most outstanding female in the Data Science community and winner of the Ms. Algorithm of the DSN 2020 AI Bootcamp.
